 Hi, and welcome to Musicals Mad!

My name is Ally and, if it wasn't clear already, I'm a huge fan of musical theatre. I'm based in Newcastle in the North East of England and attend the theatre as often as I can (and my bank account will allow!). This page is just for me to share my experiences of shows and theatre more generally, following on from me starting my Instagram page earlier this year (@musicals.mad). Whilst it's lovely to share photos and videos of my time in the theatre, I also love to write so why not do both!

I've recently seen some brilliant shows - including Back to the Future (Adelphi Theatre) and Come From Away (Phoenix Theatre) as well as tours which have came to my local theatres and have lots of shows planned for the future. To introduce myself properly, I thought I'd do a musicals Q&A:

Favourite MT Performer: Carrie Hope Fletcher

Last Show I Saw: Dreamgirls at Sunderland Empire (and WOW!)

Next Show: Curious Incident

First Show I Saw in the West End: Lion King

My Go-to Soundtrack: Heathers or Six

Favourite MT Song: I don't know if I'll ever be able to choose just one but I think 'And I Am Telling You' because you never feel an atmosphere like it when you're inside a theatre!
