REVIEW: The Cher Show at Sunderland Empire ★★★★★
On Wednesday, I was so fortunate to bag some second row seats to see the wonderful Cher Show at the Sunderland Empire. I have to say I was totally blown away by this show, not knowing what to expect but seeing some good reviews and clips on social media before I booked the ticket.

The show follows the life of Cher, one of the biggest pop divas of all time. It's so clever how they do this, with Babe (Millie O'Connell), Lady (Danielle Steers), and Star (Debbie Kurup) all showing the different stages of her life. All three Chers were just outstanding, all managing to sing like her and get her mannerisms down to the t (particularly O'Connell!). Whilst I've always loved Cher, I didn't know much about her life, so it was great to learn a bit more about her through the musical.

The rest of the cast were also outstanding. Lucas Rush who played Sonny was great, who played him throughout the life of all three Chers. Sam Ferriday played loads of characters too (including two of Cher's partners), each time bringing something new to the stage with the different characters. The whole ensemble were fantastic too, especially when they were dancing that wonderful choreography by Oti Mabuse. One of my favourite things about the show was the choreography. I mean I absolutely love Oti anyway, but now I have a whole new respect for her! I loved all the different dance elements, from argentine tango, to tap - there was something for everyone choreography-wise. Everything was just perfect!
If you love Cher, this is definitely one to see! Though to be honest, I think anyone could really go and see this show and be totally blown away - this is exactly how a jukebox musical should be done!! If nothing else, everyone should see this show for the outstanding talent and choreography, even if they're not a fan of Cher (though, lets be honest, who's not a fan of Cher??!).
